Best food mixture/dosing method to feed NPS temperate tank?

As of recently I have been feeding my anemones and sculpins a frozen mixed food. It has a little bit of everything in it and I have fed my tropical reef the same stuff for several years. Largest being mysis, smallest being cyclops.

I have been thawing out a cube a day and just using a turkey baster or eye dropper to spot feed everything and then let the rest ciruclate in the tank.

The plan is to get a couple koralia power heads to place in the tank so that I can kill the main filtration ...

Ok, well I went with the absolute BEST light that is made for reefers. This is a 120 watt Aquatic Reeflections LED fixture. It came with a microcomputer timer that I can set timing 3 times a day for every day of the week. The light coems with moonlight built in and certain panels of the light can be turned ona nd off seperately. This fixture costed me $400(that is with the discount, I am friends with the owner of aquatic reeflections). I also picked up a Euro reef skimmer, Eihem filter thing ...

Ozonator vs UV filter? Anyone use ozone?

So as of recently I have decided to run my two tanks seperately. I was originally going to link them together via a single sump, but I've decided to conentrate on getting the big tank up and running first.

The big tank will be a NPS tank with no macro algae with minimal LED lighting only when being viewed.

The smaller tank will be a tidal macro algae tank. Using higher output LED's, the home made cooler sump for the filtration, and ozone to eliminate the unwanted problem algae.

Anyone ...

Who has done their research on LED lighting

Just wondering what research everyone has done into LED lighting for temperate tanks?

My larger tank will be all Non-Photosynthetic animals so intensity and spectrum is not too much of an issue. It will only have lights on it when I'm looking at it.

My other tank which is 27"x27"x13", I will be keeping macro algae in and I was wondering what spectrum would be preferable for tidepool collected macros? I have been looking at the 90w UFO LED fixtures on ebay for this tank.

Chiller/Protein Skimmer/Lighting/Powerhead | Decisions

Okay, things for the 55g NL reef are finally underway. I've got the funds now thanks to Dad (and my not receiving anything for Christmas from him). Looking at brands of the above mentioned products I find myself wondering what brands (exact product) actually do what they are supposed to. I can figure out the GPH and WPG myself. Just need to be sure on reliability. After all, this is expensive stuff.

Brent

PS: The skimmer will be in-sump, so please keep that in mind. (:

Sump - Help?

Okay, so I basically want to get into the marine aquarium hobby. I mean really get into it. To do that, I need to know how to set up and sustain a sump. What I know is that it is, in short, a refugium connected to the main tank that holds another body of water. In this refugium are creatures, such as macro algae and filter-feeders, as well as LR and LS. This filters the main tank's water and keeps water parameters stable and regular. What I don't know is:

- What actually needs to be in the ...

Any experience with Iceprobe Chillers?

I've been looking to start a CW tank 10 - 20g in size and i'm wondering what chiller I should go with. I'm on a budget so don't want to get anything too expensive. I saw this one (http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/group/11442/product.web) that runs for about 200 with the controller, so i'm wondering if anyone has this one or can recommend a better one.
