Marine Inverts

There are a huge variety of temperate marine invertebrates, all having evolved for different ecological niches presented in a temperate reef. Multiple species of marine invertebrates are often the backbone of the cleanup crew in an aquarium since they often get rid of unwanted food and help control algae. Crabs are very good scavengers in temperate aquaria however as they age some species become more aggressive and will attack small fish and other invertebrates as well as steal food from anemones. Also when acquiring nudibranchs/sea slugs be sure that the diet of these animals is known and that it can be replicated in the home aquarium as they have very specialized diets.
